HB Capital was born out of a meeting of minds between close friends – Bradley McNeil and Harris Mbewe in 2019
Through their years of experience in the industry and after much discussion they have come to the realization that a blend of their specialist skills and fresh thinking would be an ideal fit for a niche underwriting firm in the commercial industrial space.

Team Profiles

Bradley McNeil - Director

Bradley joined the financial services industry in 2008 and after a brief stint as marketing manager for a boutique fund manager in Durban, he joined an HCV and Commercial UMA where he assumed the role of an underwriter. He then progressed through the ranks to become a National Marketing Manager, servicing the regions of KZN, Gauteng, Free State and Eastern Cape. In 2015 Bradley went on to open a brokerage which he currently owns

Harris Mbewe - Director

Harris is currently an Associate of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (AIISA) and has completed the Programme in Risk Management as well. He has vast experience in the Insurance Industry, with a career that spans over 18 years, having worked for Eagle Insurance in Zimbabwe and then various UMAs in South Africa at management level. Harris has over the years, through various roles and positions, developed strong analytical and technical skills, coupled with excellent written and oral skills which enable him to communicate clearly and effectively with clients. He is also passionate about service and relationship building which serves him well in forging and maintaining relationships.
